Happy Pi Day! Love So Sweet and Our Greatest Legacy
March 14, 2014
Have a Coke and a Smile for America the Beautiful
(February 2014)
"They were looking toward Heaven and the day when every tribe, tongue and nation will revere His Holy Name and sing His praise.  It is no accident that the Coca Cola Bottling Co. had different tongues singing this hymn.  Whether they realize it or not, the Lord has used this to make His Name known and give us a prophetic picture of His heart and the glorious day of His return. "
ROAR!!!!!!!!

"This generation coming up is critical in this hour in history.  Their prayers will transform their homes, their neighborhoods and even their cities. When the earth shakes, they will shake back and principalities will shatter and be broken."
Wonder Woman and the Great Snow Race
August 2013

"I believe there is a shortage of 'icebreakers' in the spirit today...
As we approach the end of the age (our own Great Snow Race), we are in desperate need of icebreakers to get the Gospel to the ends of the earth"
Crazy Faith
June 2013

"Miraculous Faith is rooted in quiet confidence in who the Lord says He is and in His love. Love is not boastful or proud, and it does not try to control, bully or bulldoze people. On the flip side... If it is frantic, or fraught with chaos, promotes self or is cloaked with spiritual superiority, it just might be crazy. The One who captivates our attention, should be JESUS. He is the only One who deserves such devotion."
"The Holy Spirit often allows the existence of spiritual bullies to train us to maturity and spark us to grow up."

Happy Pi Day! Love So Sweet and Our Greatest Legacy

Early in the month of March 2014, my son, Noah, and I had the privilege to attend an Advanced Training Seminar in the beautiful hills of Northwest Arkansas, with Crisis Response International (CRI).  CRI is a disaster relief organization whose vision is:

"to train an army of end-time, prophetic, mercy missionaries, mobilized in the spirit of night and day prayer, to release great demonstrations of power, reach the harvest in crisis and rebuild cities on the Kingdom of God"
( For more information, please visit www.criout.com).

In the days prior to the training event, we received an invitation to join others in praying and fasting for the event. Our focus was to include praying for:
  • New marching orders to be released
  • The release of individual and corporate inheritances
  • Fresh prophetic & prayer mantles
  • The great great end-time harvest of a billion souls
  • Crisis evangelists to be sent out

And most importantly (I believe)... a call to learn to love.

On the way to Summit, my son and I stopped for the night and I had a dream. In the dream, I was traveling in a van with some other people and  sitting in the backseat. As we drove, I could see up front in the cup holder/console area, there were two items that belonged to me. The first, was a hairpin with crystals on it. The second item was a broach that my mother passed down to me that is in the shape of an artist's pallet.

I reached for the items and said, "Hey, I believe those are mine." I did not care how they got there, but I wanted them back. The broach has always had sentimental meaning, because it was given to me by my mother. Although the hairpin was not particularly meaningful, it was mine.

The driver of the van confronted me with questions, "How do you know it's really yours?" I explained to her that I have known it my whole life! My mother had given the broach to me. It was given to her as a present when she was a little girl, and in turn, she passed it down to me.

As the debate continued, we started to ascend up a large bridge over a huge body of water, like a bay or port. Suddenly, there was a tsunami and a giant ship began to lift up out of the sea and came crashing down on top of the bridge in front of us.

I immediately cried out to Jesus. With one hand, I tried to secure my lost items in my back pocket, and with the other lifted to heaven, I cried, "Jesus! Pick us up and move us!" I knew that was only way we would survive.

I woke up from the dream with my hands in the air, praying to our merciful savior.

I was overwhelmed with this thought. I believe we are coming to a time when waters very well may rise and things could come crashing down suddenly.  Although, I do not know what it will look like, I believe it is imperative that we are sure of our identity in Christ and that which is our inheritance.

"Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been please to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32

Some things are universal, as we all partake in the Body of Christ, while others are specific to the individual's gifting, calling and family heritage.  There may even be mantles that have been passed down or dropped along the way, that need to be picked back up and pressed into.  We need to have these things secured to our person as we respond quickly in this hour. I believe it is imperative!

Needless to say, I've been wrecked. He has opened my heart to so many things. Dealing with places in my heart that had pride, selfishness and a spirit of self-preservation. Drawing me into repentance for areas where I have squandered my inheritance.

But the big moment came for me mid-week...

I answered His call to CRI Chaplaincy. He spoke to my heart so clearly: "You were born for this."  My Heart LEAPT!!!

Things got interesting from there. We had the privilege of hearing from Dan Bauman of YWAM, author of "Imprisoned in Iran". He spoke about loving the one if in front of you and daring to step out in faith to go places with the Lord.

"Sometimes you need to get a little bit rowdy... Just a little bit brave... Even a little rambunctious...
Because LOVE does not 'Do Nothing'"

~Dan Baumann, YWAM

I submitted my application for Chaplaincy and was down at the altar surrendering before the lord. I prayed for courage to wherever He leads and asked Him to give me a burning desire for the places He would send me. I asked Him to teach me to love the person in front of me, wherever He sends... and to please begin downloading plans and blueprints of all the places we would go.
This girl was on fire! Ready to GO!

Then... In the sweetest, clearest, most tender way, He spoke to me at the altar:

"Go home. Bake pies and then take them to your neighbors on your street. You have lived there a year and have not extended yourself to your neighbors"

Whuuuu?!?!?!?
I laughed and cried all at the same time.
Isn't that just like Jesus? So simple. So sweet.

Love the person in front of you. Wherever you are and wherever I send you, love... You are MY ambassador of love and peace. Be faithful at home, on the street where I placed you. It will be great practice for all the places we will go.

I was expecting some big, detailed plan. Instead He gave me such a sweet, sweet directive... Bake pies and carry them to your neighbors. I decided right then, "I can do this," and asked forgiveness for not reaching out to those He put right in front of me all along.

I had a wonderful time baking pies ON PI DAY!!!! 3-14-2014
It was such a precious time, encountering Him as I worked the dough with my great-grandmother's pastry cutter, right there at home. My neighbors were surprised and appreciative. (Only one looked at me like I was nutty.) It may not have been monumental, but oftentimes love is like that.
Sweet. Simple.

Our greatest inheritance and greatest legacy is Love. Our Greatest Commission in sharing the Gospel and in reaching the end-time harvest in crisis is Love.

I had forgotten until much later, the broach I mentioned that is in the shape of an artist's pallet.... My mother said as  a little girl, it reminded her of pie, the way the tiny red and blue jewels looked like slits along the top of the pie crust. The best part is a tiny pearl, which to her, as a small child, looked like a dollop of ice cream.
Voila'! Pie A'la Mode :-)

Our legacy should be sweet as pie as we Go, whether it is down the street or halfway around the world and back again. He has called us to love the one in front of us and represent Him well. If we are not demonstrating and emulating His love, then we have nothing of true value and we are not really about the Father's business. Further, if we cannot be a faithful witness at home, how can we be trusted to represent Him well in other parts of the world?

Do not despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). So often it is the proving ground for what is coming around the bend. And we never know this side of Heaven, the value of the small things we have sown in seemingly insignificant places.

Funny... I had almost dismissed the hairpin in my dream, because it was not particularly valuable (monetarily or sentimentally). But He was showing me my inheritance as a "seer". I almost missed it. Sometimes He has to move us (much like the van in my dream), gently tuck back our hair or remove things that are obstructing our view, so we can reorient our heart's perspective.

We want to represent Him well, and our banner is love, sweet, sweet love.

Lord, give us "eyes to see and ears to hear" what You are doing in this hour.
Help us to love sweetly and sincerely, as we seek to represent You well...
whether You are calling us down the street or halfway around the world and back again.
Forgive us where we have fallen short and help us start anew.
Grant us fresh eyes, fresh fire and fresh love!

For Your Name's sake. Amen.
